Pagano
(Studio Owner, Head Instructor): A Connecticut native, Julie owns
and operates the Emerald Ballroom Dance Education Center and JP Ballroom
LLC out of her studio in Vernon, CT. Certified with the North American
Dance Teachers Association and a member of the National Dance Council of
America, she teaches both the American and International styles of
ballroom and latin dances. Julie currently competes with her students on
the Pro-Am floor throughout the United States and
Julie
is committed to providing her students, her staff, as well as herself with
cutting edge dancing technology. As a result, she brings in world
champions, judges, and coaches to her studio on a monthly basis. Julie is
well known for her unusual style of teaching which is often described as
very technical, in a fun, humorous way. Her vast knowledge of sports,
cars, and engineering along with her whit and charm makes her lessons as
entertaining as they are educational. Her goal is to share her passion for
dance with everyone willing to learn. She also reintroduces the social
graces and enchantment of dance in her weekly dance parties and other
social events. In those rare
occasions Julie has spare time, she enjoys watching NASCAR, and spending
time with family and friends. She is also very fond of watching movies and
finds fun where ever she goes.

![]() Jessica Daniel (Technical Director, Instuctor): Jessica's dance career formally began at age nine studying ballet and lyrical. As the years progressed she expanded her repertoire to include gymnastics, Contra, African dance as well as a myriad of other styles. Her ballroom career began in 2001 on the UConn Ballroom Dance Team where she placed highly in collegiate competition dancing both American and International divisions. Adding the Pro-am circuit in 2003, she garnered many finalist honors including a 1st place 5-dance sweep and a top scholarship honor at the Tri-State Challenge Competition. Jessica completed her academic studies in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and became a professional dancer/instructor in early 2006. She is certified by the North American Dance Teachers Association (NADTA). When not on the floor, she can be found hiding in the office managing the Emerald Ballroom website and new shoe inventory.
